Joys[Ti]ck was the robot that we built to compete in 2018’s First Robotics Competition, Power Up. Its main features include its compliant wheel and its lift mechanisms that allow the robot to intake large cubes, lift them to variant heights, and eject them onto platforms.

In 2018, we competed in the Aerospace Valley Regional and the Las Vegas Regional. At Aerospace Valley, we ranked 11th overall with a record of 7-8-0 and won the Dean’s List Finalist Award (by Olivia Cameron). At the Las Vegas Regional, we ranked 18th overall with a record of 6-8-0 and won the Quality Award. In the offseason, we competed at Beach Blitz, where we placed 35th overall with a record of 2-8-0 and won the Gracious Professionalism Award.
