Week 3: FINAL ROBOT DESIGN!

As we are approaching the halfway mark of the season we have started to work on the final design for the robot.  We are building two robots and they are both coming along very well.  The CAD team has finishing up making a 3D model of the robot. For a break and celebration on half the season complete, we had a fun barbecue, with hot dogs and burgers for our members.

Week 2: PROTOTYPING 2.0!

Only two weeks into our season and already our team has made significant progress. This week our mechanical division of the team built several working prototypes and tested their compatibility with our robot. They will be reviewed by our mentors tonight and improved upon in the weeks that follow. Our programming division has also successfully created a framework for our new robot code, and the electrical division is currently creating the drive train for our robot.

Week 1: KICKOFF!

Our build season has finally begun and the gears of competition are now turning. The week was filled with prototype design, construction, and presentations. Prototypes were first designed in groups on Sunday, January 8th, 2017 with cardboard, and it was followed by five days of work sessions in order to create the prototypes out of wood. As of today, the prototypes have been presented, and now our mentors and members are deciding which prototype(s) will become the basis for our competition robot.
