About Titanium Robotics
Titanium Robotics is a robotics team at San Marino High School that competes in the annual FIRST Robotics Competition. With a shared interest in science, technology, engineering, arts, and math, over 100 members work with intricate machinery to design and build fully functioning robots. During the FRC build season, its members meet in their free time after school and on weekends to prototype, CAD, build, and program a robot according to the functions it is needed to perform during competitions. After those six weeks, the robot is completed and ready to go up against other teams’ robots in a number of matches. Once competitions are over, work does not stop for Titanium Robotics. The team uses its offseason to train newcomers on the team and to work on side projects, such as building a new drivetrain and a T-shirt cannon. Overall, Titanium Robotics aims to encourage young people to become advanced in the fields of STEAM through the activities it takes part in during the year.
