Robotics Team Will ‘Roll-Out’ Monday at 5:00

From the San Marino Tribune

San Marino High School’s Titanium Robotics team will ‘roll out’ their 2012 entry at the SMHS campus on Monday, February 20 at 5:00 p.m. The event will be open to the public.

Titanium Robotics is a team consisting of about fifty students who assemble with a common interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.  Students learn from professional engineers who have volunteered to mentor team members, learning to build and compete with a robot of their own design.

At the ‘roll-out,’ club members will show a video of the game the robot will play at the team’s first competition of 2012 at the San Diego Sports Arena.  There will also be a slid presentation showing how the team built the robot in the required six-week window.  Finally, the robot will be unveiled and demonstrate its capabilities to play ‘Rebound Rumble.’
