Titanium Robotics finally finished Ti-22. Still work to do, but now bagged and ready to compete! See you in San Diego!
The last night before Bag and Tag! Titanium Robotics came together in a room at San Marino High School to demonstrate Ti-22, their robot that they have been working on for 6 weeks. Writers for San Marino Patch and the San Marino Tribune were also present to cover our event.
In conjunction with San Marino High School’s boys basketball 2nd round CIF playoff game against Brentwood High School, Titanium Robotics opened their build room to the community to take tours while we were finishing our robot.
Hello and Welcome to Titanium Robotics!
Our team participates in FIRST -For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology- which is a program that challenges teams to create a robot that plays a game. This game changes yearly and is designed by professionals in the field. We have participated in this program for 9 years and currently have over 80 enthusiastic members. Our new robot is designed to play this year’s game, “Rebound Rumble.”
The Rebound RumbleSM robotics game is played between two Alliances of three teams each. Each Alliance competes by attempting to score as many basketballs in the hoops as possible during the 2-minute and 15-second match. Balls scored in higher hoops score Alliances more points. At the end of the match, alliances are awarded bonus points if they are balanced on bridges in the middle of the playing field. In matches where opponent Alliances work together to balance on the white bridge, all participating teams earn additional, valuable, seeding points.
